Movie Reviews & a little somethin else

watched Curse of the Golden Flower wif my collegues on friday. It's actually a treat from boss.. he paid for the catered food, drinks as well as the movie tickets. Must be getting FAT Fat bonus soon..... *hehe* my prediction for him is 4.8 mths + 13th month for a total of 5.8 mths, tat's alot!

ohh... & the movie's kinda slow. The star-studded cast includes Chow, Gong Li & Jay. But the crown prince, Liu Ye, was much under-rated. He's been nominated for Golden Globe award b4 ok...but his acting in the movie is a lil weird.

Last wk, Mr P & i watched Eragon. Mr P knows tat i would definitely like such movies... anything tat has dragons & cute young heros r my kinda movie. but it has ONLY 1 dragon! i would much prefer dragon fights

& i wan to watch Death NOte 2 next wk!

Tdy we went IMM to look for a long wide ottoman. It's meant to be placed at the edge of our bed such that lil vienna can used it as ladder to climb up our bed. Paris could also use it as i dun really like the idea of her jumpin up & down the bed. It's pretty high thou she does it so effortlessly! We found the 1 which was advertised in the papers for $199, good value for $

a lil somethin happened tdy... Mr P got so very nervous whn i tried to look at his other emails from his yahoo a/c. Urm, wat's so secretive huh? Maybe evn after 7 yrs, we still wan our own personal S - P - A - C - E . . . . . .

Paris Ris tdy!

we were loitering at psir ris tdy. Darl's ex-collegue's granny passd away & i accomp him to Pasir Ris for the wake.

after tat we went to Animal Lover's League... tis a place whr lotsa of stray dogs r been sheltered. It's really a pitiful sight. The dogs r strays or abandoned & most have skin/health problems. They may remain thr for a long time as not many ppl would thk of adopting them. Through doggiesite, i've donated dry food & ticks solution to them b4. But thr r juz so many of them

thn we went to Pet movers which has a dog run. Many different breeds thr includ BIG dogs like labradors, even mongrels which r adopted by kind owners. Saw 2 westies, a very cute white mini schn too, & darl's favorite is a fox terrier, tin-tin. They sell pups too, lotsa them, but they r caged in cramped quarters... tat really irks us.

Next, Topbreed pet shop. many adorable maltese & NO tear stains! arghh

Then, Ericson Pet Farm. The place's of coz much cleaner. Known to be a place tat sells overpriced pups.

While waiting for the bus, we saw the ikea tampines building & instead went thr to take a look. The place's bigger thn ikea alexandra but same merchandise & concept so it offers no surprise.

the only surprise was a xmas log cake fm my tenant whn w rch hm... from Conrad leh!

Bunny...bunny

my colleague's 3 yr old rabbit died...she must be so upset. She had another rabbit tat died abt 3 mths bk. tat one's already 10 yrs old but tis young rabbit's only 3 yrs old. Heard it has digestive prob, so sad *sign*

Thank god New & York r eating again. It crosses our mind to release them out to the ponds for a chance of survival if they still refuse to eat

i'm worried... my 2 little tortoises, new & york, seem unwell lately

they eat very little for the last 2 days...usually they gobble. Hope they r ok. Now tortoises may die young too! 1 of my tenant's tortoise died abt 1 week ago

i'm constantly reminded of our mortality & those close to us....

Shopping Therapy!

we bleed profusely...figuratively speaking. Darl & myself went shoppin tdy & we spent & spent!

part of my xmas shopping list.... Cadbury Chox, toys, Harrods tea, LeSportsac bags...

& i got myself a pair of Emporio Armani sunglassess
Darl bought a gucci wallet, $440!
but the big item of the day IS..
Omega Speedmaster.. $4,000. IT's my gift to him. He got me a diesel & i got him an Omega. He got the better deal :-p

Casino Dazzle

tat's the theme for my company's D&D on fri nite... dress code's formal, black or red. As expected, most guys turned out donned in black & look pretty average...but the girls! makeup, hairdo, dressess & all..it's a ladies nite!

i usually dun hav much of luck at the draw...well, won a Rollei Digital cam. Asked Darl if he wans it & yeap, he grabs it!
