Diesel watch! & analogy betw Insurance plans & its people!

Thks darl... he got me a Diesel watch! tis the wrapping & the watch...guess which i prefer more?

silly him to spend $ thou it's not very ex... should hav got him to read my 'Retirement planning' blOg... we must save, sAVe, SAVE!

i work in the financial services industy, specifically in an insurance company. Thr r many types of insurance plans, eg..

investment-linked... these plans invest in the equity markets and would grow in value ovr time. If the correct fund is chosen, the returns can be very attractive

term plans... these offer protection over a limited time. They serve their purpose over the duration and there is no returns

whole life non-participating... these plans have fixed cash value but no bonus. the returns r thus very predictable

you'll be surprised how similar people can be to the different types of plans...

the 1st type totally deserves my respect... the right people (correct fund) is recruited to fill the job and they offer excellent returns (have fantastic work output). i know of 1 in my company... & she's my favourite 'Coach' girl... so called as i got her a Coach clutch bag for her b'day... costs me a bomb at $325 (before discount)!

the 2nd grp r like contract staff. They work during the employment contractual period and left almost as quietly as they come. Staff loyalty is usually low. I feel myself akin to this group and shall hav a dignified exit should i one day feel that i'm not able to contribute to the company anymore

the 3rd type are usually long servicing staff with very predictable output. They certainly do not job hop and have a certain devotion to the organisation. Unfortunately, they r the ones tat i like to bitch about. Being predictable, they r the ones who discredit others to make themselves look good. I know quite a few in my company and not surprisedly, they r easy to spot.

Looking at my earlier posts, i realise that there were some kind remarks about the company i work for. But i'm juz tired now... too tired to be kind, too tired to be grateful, & certainly too tired to pay tribute to my company....maybe i should edit my earlier posts
