Paris FETCH!

Yest Paris was like bittin all ovr again, & i tried hittin (lightly of coz) her at the cheek but she growled bk & turned even more violent... it pains me a great deal :-(

tdy my collegue recom tat i get her 'rawhide' to bite & chew... she said the 'westie' brand milk flavor's the best... seems to work at least for quite a while...thks Kristie.... Paris was like busy chewin on it & guardin her new 'TOY'/'FOOD' vigilantly

& i tried a new method instead of hitin her whn she bites...i carried her! Paris is hyber active & likes to be on the ground... so i think she doesn't really like being carried... yet she so docile whn being carried, paradox isn't it?... anyway i sorta punish her by carryin her & whn i let her down she STOPS bitin... i tried several times & i think it works!

She no longer growls... i no longer need to shout or hit her & lose my cool... it's FANTASTIC! thank you dear for remindin me juz now... we sorta talk abt it but hav not put it to practise & it works!

wif her not bitin me anymore i let her wander ard the whole hse for the next 1 hr or so & play FETCH wif her... w/o treats she can go fetch the ball & bring back, yet wif treats she too excited to receive her award tat she didn't bother to bring bk the ball... another paradox

some dog owners may prefer submissive dogs, some prefer them more free-spirited & hav a mind of their own.

Paris is definitely not your submissive maltese or meek shih tze... she's a terrier, originally breed to hunt & kill domestic rodents...

i also learnt fm my collegue tat thr r 'ALPHA' male/female dogs, also known as a TOP dog... they r like born leaders to lead the dog pack... & i thk Mr P & i may hav gotta an ALPHA female silkie!

no matter how it tuned out, we r sure gonna dote on her & make her realise she's now family & will receive all our love & affection!!

Thks also to Mommy for coming down lunch time to feed her! i now hav peace of mind at work knowin she wun go hungry betw mornin & evenin meals.
